ACI: Aviat Certified Installer Certification- Exam- per Student

Course Description  

The Aviat Certified Installer Certification covers the learning content and assessments focused on developing skills required for installing Aviat equipment. This certification is a specialized track targeted at installers working with Aviat products and builds on the foundational product knowledge provided by the pre-requisite Aviat Networks Associate track.  

 

The ACI track covers courses and additional KB articles relevant to the installation of the latest Aviat Eclipse platforms. All exams are part of the completion criteria and are included in the learning course. On completion of all courses, the student will be certified as an Aviat Certified Installer (ACI). 

 

Target Audience 

This Learning Plan is intended for individuals requiring knowledge of how to install the Aviat Eclipse platform and related radio equipment. 

 

Prerequisites  

  • Aviat Network Associate (ANA) Certification. 
  • PC with Internet access, Internet browser software, and access and subscription to AviatCare LMS 

 

Objectives 

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:  

  • Demonstrate knowledge of installation best practices when installing the Eclipse microwave equipment. 
  • Demonstrate specialized installation-related skills and knowledge for the Eclipse platforms. 

 

Course Outline 

Course content is subject to change. Revisions of Certification course content is based on the introduction of new and enhanced products and technologies. The content is per Track purchased. 
 

 

Installation Best Practices  

The Installation Best Practices course introduces fundamental topics for microwave installation. The topics include best practices around safety measures and planning steps for preventing hazards. Additionally, best practices related to installing equipment to protect from lightning and harsh weather conditions are covered. 

 

ODU600v1/v2 Installation 

The ODU600v1/v2 Installation course provides students with an overview of the documentation required to install the ODU600v1/v2 outdoor radio product.  

 
IRU600v3/v4 Installation 

The IRU600v3/v4 Installation course provides students with an overview of the documentation required to install the IRU600 v3/v4 all-indoor radio product.  

 
Eclipse INU/ INUe Installation  

The Eclipse: INU/ INUe Installation course provides students with an overview of the documentation required to install the Eclipse INU/ INUe indoor radio product.  

 

Assessments 

Completing a short assessment at the end of the courses validates the students’ knowledge of the information covered in the documentation and a final certification exam that will provide students with the credentials necessary for the Aviat Certified Installer certification level for Eclipse. 

 

Compliance 

Upon successfully passing the re-certification exam, the individual is certified for 3 years. To renew, the individual must complete the recertification examination before the current certification expiration date.

“Final Acceptance” means testing of the Equipment following installation by Aviat Networks at Customer’s site(s) under the terms set forth in the Statement of Work and may be performed on a link by link basis, or when live traffic is cut over, or when the Customer has beneficial use of the Equipment, whichever occurs first. The following table provides the coverage duration for the types of warranties applicable. Please refer to your product ordering guide for the applicable warranty policy for that equipment, service or software.
