Course Description
Aviat FAS (Frequency Assurance Software) provide the capability to automatically detect and alert users to external interference occurrences in the network, classify the severity and persistence, analyze the interference at a network level and radio interface deep-dive level, and generate executive and technician level reports.
The FAS Installation, Configuration and Management course provides full guidance on the installation, use and administration of FAS option in Provision Plus software.
The course will cover in detail all aspects of using the FAS for configuration management, performance monitoring and reporting.
Courses are conducted by AVIAT expert trainers in a mentoring environment backed by their deep technology expertise and experience in implementation of microwave wireless and IP networks.
The FAS training course will be conducted in conjunction with Provision Plus training at Aviat Training locations or can be arranged at customer sites.
For FAS standalone training can be provided only in Elearning Format or in VILT session
Target Audience
This course is intended for Network Operations Center (NOC) operators and engineers involved in managing microwave networks using the ProVision Plus EMS.
Prerequisites
1. Participants must complete ProVision Plus course
2. Participants should have knowledge and experience in the areas of network operations fundamentals and telecommunications fundamentals.
3. Each student must bring an IBM compatible laptop PC or an equivalent and have administrator rights on the PC.
The PC must have minimum parameters of:
- Pentium 4 or later w/ 1GB of RAM and 250 Mb of free hard drive space.
- Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Windows 10.
- USB Port.
- Network adaptor port (LAN Port).
- DB9 serial port connection or adapter (optional).
Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, participants will be able to perform:
- Understand key concepts of Aviat’s Provision Plus FAS option
- Configure the FAS system to monitor your network.
- Monitor and Trouble shoot interference's in your network

“Final Acceptance” means testing of the Equipment following installation by Aviat Networks at Customer’s site(s) under the terms set forth in the Statement of Work and may be performed on a link by link basis, or when live traffic is cut over, or when the Customer has beneficial use of the Equipment, whichever occurs first. The following table provides the coverage duration for the types of warranties applicable. Please refer to your product ordering guide for the applicable warranty policy for that equipment, service or software.
