Course Description
The RDL-3000 Operation, Configuration, Installation and Maintenance course consists of 5 modules focusing on the RDL3000 operation, configuration, commissioning, installation, and maintenance based on the Version 3.2+ software features and capabilities.
Courses are conducted by AVIAT expert trainers in a mentoring environment backed by their deep technology expertise and experience in implementation of microwave wireless and IP networks.
Target Audience
This course is intended for installation and service personnel responsible for installation, configuration, test and maintenance procedures for the RDL3000 platform.
Prerequisites
1. Participants must complete the applicable Overview e-learning course.
2. Participants should have a basic understanding of Electronics, Telecommunications and IP Fundamentals and have basic computer skills.
3. Each student must have an MS compatible laptop PC and have administrator rights on the PC (to allow installation of the Portal craft tool).
The PC must have minimum parameters of:
• Pentium 4 or later w/ 1GB of RAM and 250 Mb of free hard drive space
• Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7
• USB Port
• Network card (LAN Port)
• DB9 serial port connection or adapter (optional)
Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Basic installation and configuration for Eclipse equipment
- Preventative maintenance on the relevant Eclipse equipment
- Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting of the relevant Eclipse equipment.
Key Features:
- Session will be conducted by an Aviat Certified Trainer
- Multiple sessions of 2- or 3-hours maximum depending on the course curriculum & standard duration
- Realtime video conference sessions to be scheduled according to your availability
- Maximum 10 students per web session.
- Trainer will have direct access to equipment setup in a lab environment for demonstration
- Realtime equipment configuration demonstration from the trainer
- All students will have real-time video interaction with trainer for question and answers
- All students will receive Certificate of Completion
- Post Virtual Classroom Support: 2- hours consulting and remote support- per case basis.

“Final Acceptance” means testing of the Equipment following installation by Aviat Networks at Customer’s site(s) under the terms set forth in the Statement of Work and may be performed on a link by link basis, or when live traffic is cut over, or when the Customer has beneficial use of the Equipment, whichever occurs first. The following table provides the coverage duration for the types of warranties applicable. Please refer to your product ordering guide for the applicable warranty policy for that equipment, service or software.
